Symptoms can be subtle. Trust what you know about your child.
- Are symptoms present?
- Do they worsen with activity?
- Is your child more emotional than before the injury? For example, does your child cry for no reason?
- Are you noticing any new symptoms? For example, are you observing problems with sleeping, concentration, or other symptoms that weren’t previously there?
If the answer to any of these is “yes,” inform your child’s Concussion Management Team and healthcare provider. Never let your child return to activity with symptoms.
